Die Octava 8‘ steht im Hauptwerk. Sie ist ein Prinzipal, also ein
Hauptregister der Orgel. Prinzipale bilden das klangliche Grundgerüst.
Es sind zylindrische, offene Labialpfeifen von mittlerer Mensur.
Als Prinzipal bezeichnet wird aber nur das tiefste Register eines Werks.
Alle höheren Lagen nennt man Oktave.

Anonym um 1500, Familie Scherer (1546-1592) und Arp
Schnitger (1693).
Gedecktregister von enger Mensur, bei dem der dritte Teilton besonders
hervorgehoben wird. Durch das intensive Mitklingen dieser Quinte erhält
das Register einen sehr charakteristischen Klang. Sie steht im Rückpositiv.

Halbgedecktes Labialregister mit zylindrischen Pfeifen, bei denen in
den Deckel ein kleines Röhrchen eingelötet ist, das den Klang des Register
charakteristisch aufhellt. Die Rohrflöte steht im Hauptwerk.

That's such a great project! But I'd love to see a proper VST with it, that allows voice mixing. The power of organs lays in the analog voice mixing (not simple on off, and not one voice exclusively)

Sounds great, even from so limited a platform. One octave is enough to have some fun with, if you're creative. Would have been nice to be able to combine the stops, but the plenum at least gives you a solid sound. You can really hear the character of the organ.

You can play it with your ASCII keyboard as well, as if it were a piano keyboard. It shows the German layout, but my Intl English keyboard works just as well.
