Fetch is a marketplace for self-service truck rental. Fetch created the first completely-automated process for renting a truck using just your phone. We enable individuals, families and businesses to rent a truck 24 hours a day, at the tap of their phone, without having to wait in line.

In turn, individuals, entrepreneurs and businesses can list their own vehicles for rent with Fetch and use Fetch’s self-service technology to automate their fleet operations. The Fetch platform enables fleet owners to scale their fleet and manage their operations in just a few hours a month.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with a small team and the CTO to help architect, build and scale APIs and backend systems that power our rapidly growing marketplace platform. You will implement new features within our tech stack (python, flask, postgresql, GCP) utilizing SOLID, DDD and CRQS principles. You will also contribute to strengthening Fetch’s DevOps pipeline. Responsibilities

• Design and build APIs powering the Fetch platform
• Think through long-term impacts of key design decisions
• Writing clean, high-quality, maintainable code
• Contribute to and engage in our scrum process through sprint planning, review, retrospectives and daily standups.
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Validate the quality of your work through manual and automated testing.
• Participate in code reviews
• Mentor junior developers

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or a related area, or relevant work experience
• Proven full-stack programming skills in javascript, Python, or related languages
• Strong understanding of development patterns and SOLID / DDD / CQRS principles
• Several years experience with Django/Flask/Rails or a similar framework
• Frontend experience with JS/CSS/HTML
• Experience with DevOps, testing, and code reviews
