British games development loses a legend

Legendary British developer Archer Maclean has died, we’re sad to report.
Famous for titles like IK+, Dropzone and Jimmy White’s Whirlwind Snooker, Maclean became something of a celebrity in British game development circles thanks to the incredible popularity of his output.
Two of Maclean’s last tiles were Mercury and Wheelspin, both of which were available on Wii.
As well as creating games, Maclean was a fan of renovating classic arcade machines.
