Are you looking to get startup experience? We’re looking for a Computer Vision AI / Machine Learning graduate student to help build our recommendation engine with image recognition models. This role is part-time, hourly and expected to last ~3 months.
What you’ll be doing
- Help create robust evaluation and training data sets to use in our models
- Lots of trial and error with testing existing computer vision models on our data sets
- Decide on the best cutting edge models to use to successfully rank our results
- Working closely with the tech team, including our data science advisor, Brad Klingenberg (Stanford PhD & former Chief Algorithms Officer at Stitch Fix)
Minimum requirements for the role:
- MS or PhD candidate in engineering or a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.)
- Hands-on experience training and evaluating modern computer vision algorithms in Python (using Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
- Familiarity managing machine learning code in GitHub
An ideal candidate also has:
- Deep experience with image classification and similarity models
- Familiarity with AWS Textract and OCR
- Desire to work at an early startup and make a huge impact
