Almost clamped a visitor’s car who was parked in a resident’s carpark lot but was given a dressing down from him before I could complete it. Let him off with a warning but almost got into a yelling match before that. Took a step back and realised that it wasn’t worth it and reported the car plate instead to the management!

Continued experimenting using some references on YouTube but got wayyy different results then them. Really wonder if it is the power of editing but just lost a bit more material. Trying not to give in and tell myself a few dollars here and there will be nothing in the long run.

Had to drive alllll the way back across the island just to return a card pouch that was left in my car. Thought about just saying it wasn’t there but my good citizen side prevailed. She was quite apologetic and slipped me a 5 dollar note but yet the time spent and fuel burned was probably more, still nice though.

Typically get around 3 – 4 deliveries a day for various office related functions and proxies but met this jerk of a delivery person that THREW a pen at me for signing and just stared at me. I refused to pick it up and asked him why he had done it, getting into an argument about how I was trying to make his life difficult and so on. Stupid idea because the delivery slip contained all the information I needed to lodge a complain.

My new shiny laptop was working perfectly until IT came back to say they forgot to add in some software for “security”. Once they did that all my applications starting taking super long to load with all sorts of weird errors. Now they said they’ll need the laptop back to take a look with some downtime expected so I’ll need a temporary old laptop… This is why we can’t have nice things because of hackers who try to exploit others and ruin life for others.

tried a new mix today to try and get a bit of a gradient effect but failed miserably and realised it was because I misread my own recipe and the ratios were way off. why is it some people discover something new in their mistakes but all I get is just junk?

Almost got run off the road today by a trucker from another country I shall not name and it was obvious that fella had no regard for the safety of the occupants of my vehicle. Rushed through a merging lane and sat on his horn even when I had the right of way! Had I not driven off onto the road shoulder I’d be under the front of his truck by now. Called the police but unfortunately dashcam footage did not capture the side by side damning evidence. Stay clear of these if you wish to live long!

Came back to find the hose reels on one particular floor in a mess because apparently there was some kind of rat nest inside and the exterminators were at work. Which wouldn’t have been a problem if not for the ongoing fire readiness tests and supervisors checking in on us for verification…

every single project needs to go through so many compliance processes now and they’re taking forever to approve. how do I move things ahead when we are constantly stuck?!

Had a couple come by to ask about a large house in a landed enclave and typically I am a little wary, making sure I get some kind of signs they are genuine buyers. However it has been a bit of a slow couple of months and I really was eager to make a sale or at least get some fresh leads, so decided to make an appointment at the house for a few days later. This couple not only did not show up but kept sending me messages to say they were reaching until the phone line stopped ringing when I dialed. Wasted almost 3 hours on site!!

Had this whole modern plan for a modest budget couple that took a lot of coaxing and negotiating with vendors for. I can’t even begin to say how upset I was after I was told they were going to cancel everything because they decided a fortune teller told them the timing was better next year. I mean I still do get the minimum payout but neither does that justify my time spent nor does it begin to explain how I have to mend the relationships I have with the vendors now that I’m pulling out from these arrangements. For them it’s just try again next year, but to some vendors I’m now dead to them or simply not worth the trouble which is a big problem in such a small space.

Dropped my favourite knife today and found it was dinged at the tip which was kinda saddening. And just before I ended the day I dropped it AGAIN which was super maddening given I just berated myself.

It always seems to be the case that I am needed when I’ve just stepped away from my laptop. Some people see working from home as a flexibility but I can tell you it often just means the chain you’re tethered to is just a little longer than others. You are never truly free as long as you have access to the internet, no matter what your plans might have been.

I can’t work unless I have a gym to work in obviously unless there are ultra wealthy clients with their own spaces. I had a gym owner tell me I would need to pay a percent of my earned fees as a contribution to the gym. As though it wasn’t hard enough to make a living. So much for not having a ‘boss’ at work, turns out they just appear in different forms.

Why do people not care about fire drills? Had to knock on the door of every single office just to get people to participate even when the fire alarm was going off after multiple notices sent over emails. Can’t you even take 20 mins off work to prevent yourself from becoming part of a human BBQ in case disaster ever breaks out?
