High-tech garments which become transparent based on sensual interactions.
INTIMACY is a fashion project that explores the relation between people and technology. The high-tech garments are made of smart e-foils which become transparent based on the wearer’s interactions with people, creating a sensual play of disclosure.
In response to the interaction with the wearer such as heartbeat, INTIMACY becomes more or less transparent. INTIMACY 1.0 and 2.0 features Studio Roosegaarde’s wearable dresses composed of leather and smart e-foils which are daringly perfect for the red carpet.
Specifications:
2010-2011. Black and White dresses, length 100cm, width 40cm. Smart foils, wireless technologies, electronics, LEDs, copper, and other media. Guest designers: V2_ with Anouk Wipprecht and Maartje Dijkstra.
